Comments: Pelican and Seabird Rescue Inc. was established in 2003 and became incorporated in 2006. Our team is committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned native birds. Our volunteers offer a 24 hour 7 day a week services that responds immediately to calls for help from public and private sectors and all members of the community. Our area of coverage includes Brisbane, north to Deception Bay, south to Jacobs Well, east to Stradbroke, Moreton and surrounding islands and west to Ipswich. We also offer rescue and rehabilitation co-ordination both intra and interstate when, and if, the need arises.
Although our speciality is the rescue and rehabilitation of pelicans, aquatic and seabirds we are also one of few organisations internationally that successfully rescue most species of injured native birds that can still fly.
