NQWC was established in Townsville in 1989 by a group of committed carers and incorporated in 1990. The initial objective of the founding members was to provide a support platform to the few wildlife carers residing in the area. The organisation has grown significantly since and now has approximately 250 members. In 2008 we established our Wildlife Centre with the aid of a number of substantial grants and a lot of hard work and dedication from volunteers. The Centre is used for training and meetings throughout the year and is staffed by volunteers every Sunday.
You can also contact the RSPCA on 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625) from anywhere in Qld.
