Comments: AWSG came together by members of our local community concerned with the future of the turtles for the Lower Lakes and River Murray. Members of the group have been rescuing turtles since March 2008. We have assisted over 900 turtles with most being returned back to their home. Some, due to injury are now in care at the Turtle Refuge located in Goolwa Beach.
We rescue, care and rehabilitate wildlife mainly within the Fleurieu Region but will assist in other areas if needed. At present we do not have a website but we are in the process of setting a site up.
