Beware Fake Wildlife Groups
In NSW, there are organisations with names that infer that they are licensed wildlife rehabilitation groups. Groups which are NOT licensed, nor  endorsed by the NSW Wildlife Council may be operating illegally. They have no accountability and it is not known where the animals they "rescue" end up. If unsure, you can check the NWC Website or the OEH Listing of Licensed Fauna Groups.  If you are aware of illegal operators, you should report them to the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service.

Don't Shoot Bats!

April 2012 The Liberal National Gov of Qld plans to allow shooting and electrocution of native flying foxes. Click here to learn more. We need action to prevent this now!

We love everything about it: Over 50 pages of great photos, articles, rescue stories, nest-box instructions and more - all on high quality paper. A bi-monthly magazine, it is only $9.95 an issue, or you can have them delivered to your door for $55 a year.  We think it's the best wildlife magazine we have seen.
